Don't Blink

I started to cross stitch again.  I blame this adorable freebie design I found online.  It taught me that how fun cross stitch is, apparently I really prefer embroidery.

It could also be that I chose such a teeny fabric, it practically made me crosseyed.  My friend Colleen, a cross-stitching pro, got a few texts from me, whining about it.  Thanks, Colleen!

This is a Weeping Angel from Doctor Who.  One of the coolest aliens on the show (IMHO).  The episode "Blink" is what made me love and be terrified at the same time.

teeny vulgar stitches

tried out an experiment of using a very small weave and cross stitch. the final product is about 3 or so inches tall. :) made from a julie jackson/subversive cross stitch pattern:

gave it to my friend stephanie. if you know mama steph; you know that this is right up her vulgar-mouthed alley. love you mama!

a few cross stitch pieces:

(to hang in bedroom)this was originally a holiday themed design that i altered; the top martini glass is supposed to actually be sprigs of holly. i turned it into another martini glass; not too thrilled with how wide the brim is; but i think that the olives are cute. i also added colors of the martinis; the red is representing a cosmo; the one on the right is a choco-tini.

it began with cross stitch...

i found these patterns on julie jackson's website subversivecrossstitch.com and finally ordered them. while C and I were on vacation i picked them up and i was a goner. it was pretty fun stitching sarcasm surrounded by bunnies.

it ended up going to my cousin kevin - he's currently going to case western in OH. enjoy, good sir!
